Like a future enhancement request
I believe the reporting feature is very lacking and not easy to use. it could be possible team needs better training on it, to generate our own reports
We generate many reports to verify data is correct and find where projects need more attention on a weekly basis
We end up using SQL Management Studio with read access making queries generating reports to excel this way. Very time consuming.
The reports are mostly pacific questions and end up filtering data that is not listed on the project search screen, example on deliverables.
Examples would be Projects without assigned tasks.
tax projects with certain due dates
Extention list.
This list goes much more, due its more specifics
IF you could advise on best practices for these things. or training. I don;t think at we want just a list of reports you make, from sql anyway because the request changes. We want to know how to get these specific items from ichannel instead of always doing it in the back end.

Thank you all for your feedback. I will be considering all suggestions as I plan out the next state of reporting for the fall release.

I agree, the reporting piece is very important but not very easy to use. You have to really understand what fields the filters are pulling from (project level or deliverable level). I see the reporting as somewhat similar to the way Practice Management custom reports work but we do not have the ability to create and save our own custom reports. That is what we'd really like to be able to do, create the report criteria, and then name and save the report ourselves. This would allow us to create default reports for various projects, staff members or deliverables without having to do a lot of clean up work in excel every time a report is generated. Thanks
