Client "NOTES" attached to documents in iChannel

We would like to easily save the Notes a client sends via the Portal when they upload their documents. Currently, the note is included in an email, but it would be helpful to have a "Notes" section that is saved to the client file area for future reference where it is not part of email correspondence.

Does this feature exist, or could it be developed?
